Let me answer the question about how much bloggers make. Bloggers, believe it or not you can make great money blogging and the money that they make comes from different places. It is not an overstatement to say that successful bloggers are able to make 7 -figures per year, while some few unfortunate bloggers do not make money in their blogging business.
However, whether you’re making no money or making well above the average, here are some tips for growing your blog and making money.
But first: Why Blog in the First Place? For some, the thought of blogging conjures up thoughts of a full-time income. In order to blog full-time, you need to think of your blog as a full-time business. While making money isn’t all that important to some, getting into blogging for income might just be the way to go for some people.
While some might blog full-time, for many people, blogging is more of a side hustle, something they do to supplement their income and/or do on the side to supplement their income. For some, blogging is like a side hustle, while for others, it’s their main source of income. As such, many of you are wondering: How Much Money Can You Make Blogging?
Of course, you can make any amount of money blogging that you want. So what are some tips to help you start making money blogging?
1. Become Marketable
Being very marketable is one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give. If you can’t market yourself, no one else will. Therefore, marketing yourself as the most interesting, most helpful, most knowledgeable, or most hilarious person online is crucial.
The more people like you and want to read what you’re writing, the more you’re going to make. No one else will write about the same topics as you. No one else is as knowledgeable as you. No one else knows more about your niche. In fact, you might even lose some readers once they’ve read your posts and get bored, rather than get excited about learning more.
Read this post if you want to learn how to make money blogging through Facebook ads, but what do you have to lose?
2. Focus on One Topic
The more unique your content, the more unique your blog will be. Of course, your blog is going to be different than someone else’s blog, but you’ll be more unique than someone else if you focus your content on one topic and make it something that will attract a lot of readers.
This means that you should never try to become a generalist, but rather you should stick to your specialty. For example, if you’re a productivity blog, make sure you always write about productivity. You never want to try to write on every subject, even if it is a very interesting subject.
If you do try to write about a lot of different topics, you might just end up losing readers and lose traffic.
3. Focus on Your Traffic
In order to make money blogging, you’ll need a substantial amount of traffic. If you don’t have enough traffic, you won’t make any money. This is probably the most important thing you can do for your blog.
Focus on traffic. If you’re not already getting a decent amount of traffic to your blog, it’s best to get your blog going. The traffic can come from a wide range of places:
Other blogs. This includes guest posts on other blogs (e.g. guest blogging on Geekosystem, Lifehacker, etc).

This includes getting traffic through paid advertising methods such as Google Adwords or Bing Ads. Paid email lists. This can also include creating your own email list. You could even charge a small fee for people to join your email list. There are plenty of ways to generate traffic to your blog, but the most important thing to focus on is traffic. Make sure you can sustain a decent amount of traffic.
4. Use Your Social Media
Besides blogging, social media is your best way to get readers to come to your blog.
If you have a Facebook page, Twitter account, or Google+ account, you’ll probably have a lot more people to communicate with than if you just write on your blog all the time. This means you can interact with a lot more people.
On Facebook, you can use Facebook Messenger. It’s free and easy to use, so why not try it?
You can use Google+ to connect with other people you know. You can also interact with people on other social networks, like Twitter and Reddit.
Make sure you use social media, especially your social media profiles, to connect with others. This will help you grow your traffic and attract more potential readers.
5. Look for Similarities in Other Blogs
This goes along with another point above, but it’s an important point to consider. Look at what other bloggers are doing. If you see someone doing something you could do better, you can copy that person’s strategy and try it out. If you see someone doing something that is working well for that blogger, you can copy that person’s strategy and try it out. The internet is a large place, and there are plenty of blogs out there. You can learn from other people. You can create similar strategies. If you’re not already good at blogging, I recommend learning more about blogging and using online marketing strategies to grow your traffic.
